Central Area Youth Association
Since 1963 The Central Area Youth Association (CAYA) has lifted the strengths of our youth, Black families and community that are confronting the effects of displacement in Seattle. Rooted in the Central Area’s African American community CAYA has a rich history, strong community relationships and is a trusted partner to generations of youth and families who are impacted by racism and poverty.
Allied8 has been working with CAYA since 2019 and has been hired to design their future mixed-use development which will include a new community space for the organization and much needed affordable homeownership condominiums for families that had been impacted by gentrification to come back home.
