Alki Beach House
This project is a full architectural service remodel of a deteriorating late 1980s house that had been built on the foundation of a 1920s cottage. A series of carefully considered strategic moves were made to realize the potential of this remarkable view property which had significant zoning and site constraints. The front entry was relocated to the side, and the front façade and deck were entirely rebuilt to maximize visual connection to the Puget Sound. The interior stair was relocated which allowed the interior to be entirely reimagined in a new layout that is more functional, gracious and brings the water views and natural light deep within the house so they can be enjoyed from many different spaces.
